The San Francisco Historical Society’s annual Awards Luncheon honoring and celebrating individuals and businesses that have made outstanding contributions to San Francisco History. This year’s luncheon features a Special Visit by London N. Breed, Mayor of San Francisco.

Mary Austin
Mary Austin is the co-founder of San Francisco Center for the Book. She also is a book collector and philanthropist with extensive experience in non-profit management.

Brewster Kahle
Brewster Kahle is the founder (1996) of the Internet Archive. With more than 600 partners, the Internet Archive now preserves 50 petabytes of data in a digital library accessible to all.

Manuel Neri
Manuel Neri is an artist known for his life-size figurative sculptures in plaster, bronze, and marble. His work has been featured internationally and locally at San Francisco Museums.

Therese Poletti
Therese Poletti is a writer, a tour guide, and the preservation director of the Art Deco Society of California. She authored Art Deco San Francisco: The Architecture of Timothy Pflueger.

Richard Reutlinger (Posthumous)
Richard Reutlinger was a great local volunteer and the owner of a San Francisco Italianate Victorian, which he generously shared with local history groups. Close friend Robert Pritchard will accept the award.

 


Cancellation Policy for Special Events

We understand that your plans may change after you’ve made arrangements to attend a special event, such as the Annual Awards Luncheon. So that we may update our arrangements accordingly, we ask that you let us know about cancellations at least five (5) business days in advance. In such cases, we will issue a refund for the full amount you paid. Cancellations received with fewer than five business days’ notice may receive a partial refund and/or credit toward a future SFHS event, to be used within one year. If you do not cancel and do not show up, or if you leave an event early, we cannot issue a refund. If SFHS cancels an event, you will receive a full refund.
