Our next set of San Francisco digital resources are here! The first SFHS Movie Night is LIVE.

We’ll be showing two sets of paired videos:

Set One

  • San Francisco Shut Down by Dan Denegre of Space Race Studio: Jaw-dropping camera drone footage of San Francisco’s empty streets during the first days of the COVID-19 shutdown, accompanied with a haunting Flamenco guitar solo
  • The Ghosts of San Francisco directed by R. Christian Anderson: A photographic journey through San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake and fire, with Motown recording artist singing “When the World Came to San Francisco”

Set Two

  • At Home With Charles Fracchia directed by Mary Bettini Blank: Join SFHS Founder Charles Fracchia as he describes the collective consciousness of San Francisco and how its unique ethos of enterprise and audacity continues to shape life, thought, and industry. (older iPhones may not play the sound correctly – if so, please try another device)
  • Charles Fracchia Remembers The Filbert Steps directed by Mary Bettini Blank: Charles shares his memories of the Filbert Steps from childhood forays through the present day, and explains why this charming place, which still has the last wooden staircase in the City, is his favorite spot in San Francisco.
