San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral began as Grace Chapel in 1849 on Powell Street near Jackson, eventually growing into the cathedral at California and Taylor atop Nob Hill. The cathedral’s history is entwined with San Francisco’s history. Grace Cathedral docents will take walkers on a guided walk through the cathedral, discussing its history, architecture, and art. Learn about the varied history of this remarkable San Francisco cathedral.
